Boaty Young Theatre Makers
Established in 2011, when a group of young people were discovered working on a student film at the National Waterways Museum (known locally as 'The Boaty') The Boaty Youth Theatre was born!
Our founding Young Theatre Makers have long since grown up and gone on to do wonderful things in their own right, all while continuing to support our ongoing projects locally, regionally, and nationally.
Since our humble beginnings, we have gone on to win accolades, awards and NATIONAL recognition along the way!
The Boaty is a welcoming and inclusive space where young people can explore the creative and performing arts — from on stage to backstage, events management, and beyond!
It's a place to learn, grow, and feel comfortable with yourself, all while having fun and being creative. Here, we celebrate the joy of creating works that challenge, provoke thought, and spark meaningful discussion
More recently, we succeeded in the very same festival and got the opportunity to perform on the Dorfman Stage at NATIONAL THEATRE, London, on the 22nd of June, 2023.
We would love to welcome you to the Boaty family. If you would like more information email: info@boatytheatre.co.uk
